How You Can Help

You can help Asheville Rabbit Rescue in many ways as outlined below.

1. WNCRR is looking for volunteer fosterers who can foster one or more rabbits in their homes. The more fosterers we have, the more rabbits we can help.

2. Volunteers that can help clean litterboxes and pens also would be most welcome.

3. WNCRR also could use your financial support. Since its inception, WNCRR's founder has spent over $15,000 out of pocket. Expenses are approximate and have included:

$3,000+ on rabbit supplies - kiddie pools, dog pens, baby gates, water bottles, litterboxes, litter, and other supplies

$2,000+ on food - Timothy hay, Oxbow pellets, and organic greens

$4,000+ on veterinary bills - checkups, medications, spays, neuters, and tooth trimming for one rabbit with an underbite

$7,000+ on rabbit-friendly home renovations - replacing the carpets with easy-to-clean tile, converting a two-car garage to a Rabbit Room

Because we are not set up as a 501(c)3 organization, any donations made to us are not tax-deductible. However, those wishing to make donate to help rabbits can make donate to the “House Rabbit Sanctuary” or "HRS." donations are greatly appreciated and will help to offset the costs of WNCRR.
